Fighting in Normal Space
Most ships are mounted with two turrets, one fore and one aft, each firing a very large laser. Each turret has about a 230 gradiant field of fire, so targets to the side of the ship can be
fired upon by both turrets. To aim a turret, enter the lock command or press the lock button after selecting a target from the list of ships within range.

If a successful lock is made you may fire your lasers by pressing the Fire button. After firing the lasers must go through a recharge phase. Indicated next to the fire button and only appears when a ship is locked. You may fire before the recharge is complete to fire a less powerful shot. This is useful for making the kill shot.

Fighting in hyper space
Fighting in hyper is an essential skill. You have two forms of attack while in hyper space. Torpedoes and Missiles These war heads can be loaded with you fuel reserves to unleash a devastating attack. You can select how much fuel to charge your war head with by selecting between min and max.

Torpedoes are a line of sight weapon and ignore shields if hit is made. Torpedoes explode on contact and have splash damage. Torpedoes do not track. You can enter torpedo mode by selecting it from your navigation console while in hyperspace. Fire a torpedo by shift clicking in the desired direction. Torpedoes can only be fired in hyperspace

Missiles missiles are similar to torpedoes in that they can be fired in hyperspace. However missiles are signature locking and can chase an enemy into a system. Missiles will damage shields first with the remaining splash damage passing through to a ships hull.

In order to succeed in Galaxicus your colonies need to be able to thrive. The first step in the process is picking a proper planet to locate your colony. In order to do that you are going to need to know how to use Probes. You can enter probe mode while in hyper space by clicking the probe mode button. In this navigation mode you can fire probes simply by clicking on the desired system. The probe will launch and scan the system then return with data. The data will then be added to your system library. Note system libraries are shared among team mates. Once a system is scanned you can hover over it for brief information about said system. Surveying system adds to your over all score and can be very beneficial to you and your team. When a probe is in space you will be unable to fire a missile or torpedo as the ships guidance systems will be occupied.
Normal Space
In normal space you are localized to a single star system. For this explanation we will use G50.1268 in rim space as an example.

Inside this system there are multiple planets including a planet owned by TheGuardians. while in normal space you can direct your ship using the W A S D keys. The W key to throttle up, S key to throttle down, A key to turn your ship counter clock wise and D to turn it clock wise. These keys can be rebound in the options menu.

You can also select a planet by clicking on it or in the auto navigation bar on the top of the screen.

In order to exit normal space and enter hyperspace you will need to move away from the star in the system and increase your warp success chance.

Be careful when using the auto navigation feature. It will attempt to warp as soon as you select a planet or star system. If you are to close to the systems star it is possible to destroy your ship.

Guardian System JUMPING

While in normal space you can use the guardians jump gates by entering a system with a guardian planet and accessing your star map. Then select a region with a previously discovered Guardian planet you would like to visit and select jump to Xxx.XXX. Alternatively you can enter jum Xxx.XXX into your command bar. There are default Guardian bases available in each of the Space Regions allowing you to jump between them without first discovering them. They are listed here

T06.491, T06.674, T06.207, T06.1996

M50.593, M50.1623, M50.366, M50.1723

G50.669, G50.1268, G50.1676, G50.461

Hyper Space
Hyper space flight is similar to Normal space and can be navigated much the same way. Once in hyper there are few things to take note of. First off you will be presented with many Dots most likely white. These dots represent star systems in the galaxy. Each one being unique. The color of the dot signifies the status of the system. Unidentified system=White, Previously Probed=Blue, Currently owned system=Pink, Another entities base=Yellow

You can click on a system to select either probe or navigate. If you prefer you can type into the command bar nav XXX.xxx.x Replace the x with the desired system name. One example being nav G50.1268.

You can mouse of a planet once you have visited it or probed the system for basic information about said system.

Most ships are mounted with two turrets, one fore and one aft, each firing a very laser.

Missiles missiles are similar to torpedoes in that they can be fired in hyperspace. However missiles are signature locking and can chase an enemy into a system. Missiles will damage shields first with the remaining splash damage passing through to a ships hull.
